Central design drivers for the architectural lighting:
A sense of embedded light that emerges from the architecture. This strategy integrates the light source within unique architectural details and allows the home, itself, to act as luminaire. It also aids in visual comfort by removing the light source from direct view.
A heightened connection between interior and exterior. Exterior lighting works to extend our sense of space beyond the glass and into the adjacent landscape and pool deck areas. Throughout the interior, great care was taken to minimize internal reflections by implementing discreet, small-aperture recessed fixtures with precise beam control.
A cohesive design and control strategy that is responsive, considerate of resident patterns and that enables user-friendly operation. The centralized lighting control system enables preset scenes and independently adjustable lighting in every area of the home. An astronomical time clock and occupancy sensors are used to automate selected behaviors.
The design prioritizes energy efficiency and uncompromising quality in all lighting products. Throughout the home, specification-grade LED luminaires offer efficiency, high color rendition, superb beam control and smooth, low-end dimming. This, combined with the preset and automated lighting control, provides an extremely energy efficient residential lighting system that is uniquely calibrated to this incredible home.
